The police may have been a little rougher on Joe when they shoved his hands behind his back and cuffed him. But he did give them plenty of reasons to be. Minoru, by contrast, really did come quietly.

“…yeah.” Minoru sheepishly admitted that it wasn’t his first time. “I think this one’s gonna clear out my No Trespassing Fund, though…”

It was definitely not his first time. He literally kept a separate savings account for bailing himself out of trouble. (Not everyone was a fan of parkour.) It technically wasn’t even his first time in THIS world, but Jack and Ziggy busted him out before the cops could actually take him in that time. This time, he doubted he’d be so lucky.

"You've been busted before? Fucking awesome, mate. You're a rebel like us."

Joe laughed and then groaned when he was shoved in the back slightly by one of the cops. Wankers. They were rough on the bassist because he'd been abusive and hadn't come down lightly. Whatever. Tom would be pissed but it had been totally worth it in Joe's eyes because he could have made it to the top. Right?

"Looks like Tom will have our asses for this. Shit. Ziggy's old man really yells when he's pissed. Last time he blew up was when Rik and Viktor had a punching match at the back of the hotel."

That wasn't good. What were these US jails like anyway? Easy to bust out of? Joe guessed if he could find a pin he could pick the lock. Was Minoru any good at picking locks?

Given the television cameras that had been pointed in their direction for at least half of their ascent, it sounded really stupid to ask, but…

“You think he knows?”

Yes, Minoru. Of course, Tom is probably well aware of the situation you’ve gotten yourself into.

Minoru didn’t know what the jails were like in this universe, only the one he came from. But there, it was less about doing time and more about just paying a few hundred dollars in fines and apologizing for being a public nuisance by climbing on someone’s private property. The hard part was remembering which fences not to hop or which walls not to scale.

"Yeah, I think he knows, mate. The TV choppers and all of that shit. He may have even watched it on TV himself."

Joe was willing to take whatever punishment came from Tom but as for these idiots taking them into custody? They could fuck right off. The bassist offered a glare to a few of them as they were walked cuffed back to the police station. The cop shop.

"You had nice moves up there though, honey. Totally rocked the side of this building."

He couldn't help offer up praise to Minoru for leaping up the building like Spider-Man. It was an impressive feat himself. Then his thoughts turned to his boots. Fuck. Would he get them back? Probably not.

"I need to get some new boots after this shit's all over."

A policeman nudged Joe in the back to silence him a little. As if that would work.

The compliment made Minoru smile, even as the cops led them both out of the building in quite the walk of shame.

“Thanks… woah…”

Joe might be used to the crowds, but this was the first time Minoru really found himself in the middle of it all. Even when he and Ziggy had their first date, it wasn’t like this! Cameras were everywhere. The press was on the ground, shoving microphones toward the police officers for statements and cameras toward Joe for color commentary. Whoever had the boots must have made off with them already, or else they probably would have been pushing through trying to get an autograph. (Not like Joe could sign it with his hands cuffed behind his back.)

A squad car would have been a welcome relief. But the crowd was still too thick, so they were literally paraded through downtown.

"No need to thank me, mate. I mean it. As for these assholes here? They just love to ruin people's fun!"

Joe scowled at them all as they were lead down onto the ground floor and out into the open. Fuck. This stank like stale shit. What would Aarne say right now? Or Tom even? Shit....Tom. Not good. As for being paraded, Joe made a scene by jumping up and down even with cuffs on, laughing and trying to get out of the grip of the authorities. He hated this. Being lead around like some zoo animal.

"Get the fuck off me! Too tight---"

The cuffs were digging into his wrists as he squirmed. Looking to Minoru he knew this could only get worse as they were being lead to the police station. Sticking his tongue out at one of the cameras, Joe then bit a microphone thrust towards his face and laughed. Why not cause shit? He was arrested and couldn't do anything else right now.

Minoru kept a low profile as they walked. Or rather, Joe kept attracting all the attention.

Normally, he’d just call Isamu whenever he got to the station, tell him how much money to get out of the account and endure a lecture about proper behavior until he arrived. But Isamu was currently in the Nexus. That complicated things (the least of which probably involved inter-dimensional currency conversion).

“What usually happens now?” He asked as he thought about who he should call.

Ziggy was his first thought - and he was kind of glad now that his koibito hadn’t taken no for an answer on paying him like the rest of the crew. That would cover his bail, right? Maybe Tom, though? Tom would know what to do.

Joe loved all the attention and craved it because he was a loud, crazy guy who lapped up the crowd cheering and screaming for the band on stage. He was the guy who turned around and mooned everyone with his naked ass laughing as he played his bass guitar. The Angels were used to him and his antics.

"Fuck knows, mate. I've been banged up before here in the States but more back home. All the same though. Bullshit."

He scowled at the authorities and knew that they were both in deep shit. Would Tom bail them? Ziggy's old man had to bail both Joe and Aarne out of prison before so knew the protocol involved. Looking to the nearest cop he yelled;

"Wankers!"

The outburtst caused some of the nearby crowd to laugh as Joe tried to sign an autograph with a pen in-between his mouth as the paper was given to him by a fan. The police snatched it away and moved the crowd out of the way.

Okay, even with as much trouble as they were in, Minoru couldn’t help but stop and giggle as Joe tried to sign an autograph with a pen in his mouth. The police seemed far less amused, though. Both of them got an extra large shove to keep moving forward.

It was pretty funny with Joe trying to sign an autograph with his teeth. Obviously, the cops didn't find it funny and now both boys were locked up behind a solid steel jail cell. Not good. Slumping onto the hard, cold seat Joe just crossed his arms and pouted.

"This is utter bullcrap! We were only doing extreme sports and these assholes had to ruin our fun. You hear that fuck heads? You knob heads ruined our fun!"

Joe got up and offered two middle fingers to the cops on the other side who were talking and writing up paperwork. One came up to the bassist on the other side of the cell door and offered a dead pan expression. He was fat and looked like a serious jerk. Donut eater for sure.

"Shut the hell up, you crazy moron. Any more out of you and we'll increase the sentence for both you crack heads."

Tom was definitely needed because Joe was soon going to be kicking off and mooning the cops. Or worse.

Tom had started getting ready to go to the station as soon as the news showed Minoru being pulled in and cuffed. The Brit was going to be a hellion and the Fin was being a crazed lunatic. He just relented to bringing Aarne along. If he hadn't the crazy bastard might have climbed on top of his car or something.

Tom just prepared to pay fines for whatever Aarne did in the police station when they arrived and it didn't take much. As they walked in one of the men behind the desk was talking to another cop about the black haired freak they pulled off the side of the building. The migraine was coming on as the drummer became offended and went right at him, Tom barely able to get a hold of him to stop him from climbing over the desk.

"Who are you calling a freak!?" Aarne screamed at them and Tom realizing the Fin was so tall he could probably just step over this desk.

Ignoring it Tom turned to the man at the desk while firmly holding on to the Fin's wrist. "I'm here for Minoru and Joe, fines and bail as necessary."

Things were smooth until he had to sign, the drummer slipped his grip and vaulted the locked swinging door.

"JOE!!" He's drunk and still panicked. Tom watches and sighs. He isn't about to stop the crazy drummer from finding his lover. That is a fool's errand.

The more Joe agitated the cops, the more Minoru was lumped right on in, despite his insistence that, “for the record, I’m sober.” There wasn’t even a chance to play dumb about the illegality of freeclimbing or act confused about whether that building was private property. (The usual things that, along with an apology, led to a slap on the wrist instead of community service or a little time behind bars. There was no getting out of the fines.)

But this time? Yeah… So much for getting that one phone call.

Thankfully, it wasn’t long before he heard the familiar scream echoing on the other side of the wall.

Minoru immediately perked up.

“Is that Aarne?!” And better question. “Is he coming to get us or join us?”

Joe immediately perked up when he heard Aarne's voice shouting from the other side of the cell along with Tom's dulcet tones. Had they come to bail him and Minoru out? The bassist pushed himself up against the cool metal bars and tried to grab at his Fin's hands. Any touch was welcome.

"Aarne? Peachy ass?"

This was a greeting of course because Joe had missed his lover during the whole building climbing event. Of course he would have invited Aarne it was just he forgot since he was with Minoru and things just happened. Yet, the fucking idiot authorities had ruined everything.

"Those fucking morons ruined my fun! Me and Minoru were climbing up the building and all the media were on us. It was so cool. Then, those shit heads decided to pull us in because they thought we were too reckless or some crap. Fuck heads!"

Joe yelled the last few words towards the cops near the desk. The fat cop coming over and hitting the cell door with his truncheon to shut the crazy crackhead up. Noticing the tall Fin he snorted in amusement and wondered if he were some kind of queer. Probably the crackhead's boyfriend? Unless the other guy in the cell was his boyfriend. Who knew. He'd had enough of all the shouting though.

"Hey, you. Shut the hell up, crackhead. This your boyfriend here? Tall ain't he? Why don't you tell crackhead here to button it?"

The fat cop now addressing Aarne.

Aarne instantly homed in on the braceleted wrist. "Joe."

He immediately grabbed his hand and tried to kiss him through the bars. The Fin is pale from worrying for the past... however long it has been since the news started.

The cop got an instant reaction from Aarne as he snatched the baton angrily. "I'll shove that fucking thing up your ass if you keep fucking with him."

He's so tense from worry that the minor threat to Joe pushes him over the edge. "Why don't you shut your fat fucking face before I bust it?"

Tom can her the yelling while he fills out the papers and what not. They're riling the Fin up and that was bad. He looks to the man at the desk. "You might want to tell your buddies back there to lay off the girl or he'll start throwing them."

He's pretending like that is humor but it is probably serious. Tom had heard stories about the handful of times Aarne had lost his temper and it wasn't pretty.

Minoru was relieved to see Aarne. He thought he could hear Tom somewhere in the background, but the minute Aarne and Joe started screaming, it was impossible to know whether Tom was actually there or not.

He was all for waiting patiently - this wasn’t his first rodeo - but then Aarne snatched a police baton right out of the officer’s hands…

Minoru hopped up from the bench. “Guys. Guys! We’re trying to get OUT of here, right?”

He’d meant that they should both calm down. But god, if that didn’t sound like a challenge they’d be all too eager to accept.

Joe thrust his hand out towards Aarne and was glad he was here since it had been a shit show. His climbing had been ruined by these assholes and now he'd been banged up alongside his friend and the day was total shit. At least Tom was here with the chequebook.

"These fuck heads are total losers, babe."

The bassist snorted when the Fin started sassing off to the fat cop. The guy deserved it though for being such a fat bastard. Joe was all too keen for his boyfriend to wind the cops up and cause shit. As for Tom and Minoru? Probably not. The cop just put both hands on his fat hips and stared not impressed at all. Snatching the baton back off the Fin, he glared.

"That's it. You. Inside with them. You think you're being clever, asshole? I don't give a crap if you're their private hooker or not. That loud mouth of yours has just earned you a night in the cells. Get the hell in there with them and shut your cake hole, princess."

Joe knew this could only get worse now as the bail bill would likely shoot through the roof. The bassist wanted to punch the cop so badly because he was a fat bastard. The cop unlocked the cell door and called for backup in case Aarne needed to be restrained.

"Get in."

"I saw." Aarne was a mess. He both loved seeing how strong and fearless Joe was climbing the side of a building and also terrified out of his mind that he would fall and glad that he was rescued, though not into a jail cell.

Aarne mocked the cop and sassily put his hands on his hips like a total Diva. He starts laughing and motions at the cop. "Did you hear that? I'm the princess of hookers."

The drummer was giggling but not budging. When the door was unlocked he grabbed it and flung it wide open. "OH! Look honey. He's letting you out!"

They were absolutely not letting Joe and Minoru out but Aarne didn't care. Open door meant time for them to come out.

"I'm not getting into your little, bad boy, kink cage." Aarne was holding on to the door and grinning. "We've made fines and bail so you can't stop us."

Tom was finally being led to the back by one of the people at the front desk. The scene was no surprise, it was expected. He would have thought something was wrong with the two if they weren't back here raising hell and harassing the police.

The whole world saw. Or soon would see. They’d make quite a few headlines before the week was out and something else garnered the media frenzy.

It looked like a scuffle between rockers and police was imminent, but at the moment, Minoru was willing to just take Aarne at his word. Tom made his way around the corner and Minoru made a break for that cell door. “Thank you! Yes, please!”

Joe felt a little bad that Aarne wasn't there to join him in the climb but next time he would be. That would be a promise. As for the fat cop trying to make the Fin get in the cell it was laughable. Tom was coming over now and Minoru wanted out. Everyone wanted out.

"Don't talk to my peachy ass that way you fat fuck. Why don't you lose a few pounds and shut that flabby mouth of yours, cock head?"

Yelling at the cop insulting his Fin, Joe wasn't afraid to start shit. He was already in a bad mood from being pulled down from his epic climb with Minoru. These guys were total losers. The comment about the kink cage had the bassist giggling and he was now walking out of the cell, yanking down his pants and flashing his ass cheeks at the fat cop. Fuck him.

"Kiss my ass, fatso."

The fat cop was now seething with anger but knew Tom had paid the bail bill. What else could he do? So, he sighed and walked back to the counter, not wanting to escalate the situation anymore. These guys fed of confrontation and they were nearly all high or drunk. Rock stars.

"Fucking drunk crack head rock stars. How do you deal with this lot, pal?"

The fat cop sighing, grabbing his coffee mug whilst addressing Tom.

Aarne instantly hugged Joe when they were able to, cop forgotten. Tom sighs at Joe.

"Can we keep our clothes on until we get back to the hotel?" He didn't need them being locked back up before they even got out of the station.

Tom looked at the cop with a scowl. "I don't treat them like shit or insult them so they don't think I'm an annoying bastard." Tom waved for the three. "Come on boys. Out to the car. Ziggy's waiting for you stressed out of his mind like this one." Tom motioned to Aarne who was kissing on Joe's cheek.

If there was a counter or barricade, Minoru was up, over it and across the room before Joe’s pants came down. No one stopped him. At that point, no one was likely even paying attention to anyone but the terror twins. And their cursing. And mooning. And public displays of drunken affection.

“I am so happy to see you right now.” He greeted Tom.

He glanced back at the others, including the exasperated cops.

“Uh… how much trouble are we both in?”

If Joe had his way he would have flashed both his ass cheeks and cock at the fat bastard but knew better now that Tom was here and paying for their bail. Their stunt had cost Stardust's old man money and that made the bassist a little sheepish in his glance he offered to the ex-astronaut.

"Thanks for the bail, honey."

He patted Tom on the arm and then went to kiss Aarne on lips, passionately and in full view of everyone, especially the cops. They could all stand and stare because Aarne was his lover and he wanted the whole world to know. He slipped his hand into his Fin's and then did wonder about how much trouble they were in. Oops.

"Sorry about the shit show, guys. I was about to get to the top except my fucking boot got stuck in a railing and I lost my shoes."

Tom laughs as he watches Minoru vault the door that Aarne more or less stepped over. "You have to deal with Ziggy when we get back and Joe lost his favorite boots. I think that's enough pain and suffering cost."

He's in a mood but not a bad one. At least they did this while he was awake for once instead of while he was trying to sleep.

"It's your bail money in a way." Tom shrugs and gives the two lovebirds a push toward the door. The pool of money from concerts had a medical and legal portion taken out of the cut. What was really surprising was that it managed to keep up with the mayhem.

Minoru was glad to be out of that cell. Ziggy, he could handle (famous last words, always), but being stuck behind bars with someone egging on the cops every few seconds? That was nerve wracking! It wasn’t like he even existed in this world. So who knew what would happen next!

As soon as they were outside, he hopped up on the railing. Balancing across it made him immediately feel more balanced. He flipped off the end, rolling back up to his feet. That, too, felt really really good right now.

“Thought we could both get up there before it turned into a publicity stunt. That didn’t happen…”

"I'm going to try again because fuck the cops and fuck everything. I'm making it to the top, baby!"

Joe was adamant in this as he watched Minoru perform some parkour moves inside the station. The boy really was skilled and this had the bassist slightly jealous that he couldn't pull of such jumps and things on stage because that would be a riot. He could do rolls whilst playing but Minoru was a pro. Maybe he should say sorry to Ziggy too for nearly getting his boyfriend imprisoned in an American jail.

"I'll apologise to Stardust too because he was probably out of his mind worrying about his parkour boy. Better luck next time as they say."

Latching onto Aarne once more, Joe giggled and kissed his lover on the cheek as they walked out of the station.
